The Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) orders a specialized demonstration system called "RAINX" for research & development on autonomous systems with artificial intelligence. The order is valued at SEK 1.25 million and will be delivered during 2017.
The demonstrator system, RAINX, is a research training and development system for distributed decision support and information extraction for autonomous systems (e.g. small satellites, remotely piloted vehicles/drones, submersible vehicles, industrial robots, mine sweeping robots). Unibap will deliver RAINX based on the company's space proven SpaceCloud platform with several years of flight heritage and products from the Intelligent Vision System (IVS) portfolio. Unibap will also deliver an educational package.
RAINX lays the foundation for realization of several research and development projects and system architectures with national and international partners.
- We are very proud that the Swedish Armed Forces and FMV have chosen to explore our intelligent automation solutions for their research and development. said Unibap's CEO Dr. Fredrik Bruhn.
