Epiroc Drilling Tools AB orders automated intelligent quality assurance of SEK 1.8 million with delivery during 2018 based on Unibap's Intelligent Vision System (IVS-70) and associated software skill modules.
Unibap communicated in 2017 to the market that the company has conducted several pilot projects within the framework of the "Perfect View" project in collaboration with major industrial companies. Unibap and Epiroc Drilling Tools AB has in parallel with the "Perfect View" project, evaluated Unibap's Intelligent Vision System (IVS) with model-free learning for quality service and flexible automation in production. The pilot project has now been concluded with positive results regarding Epiroc Drilling Tools quality assurance needs based on Unibaps Intelligent Vision Systems and form the basis for this continued commercial relationship.
Epiroc Drilling AB is a part of Atlas Copco's business area mining and rock excavation.
The early cooperation with Epiroc Drilling Tools AB has been extremely important for us to accelerate and validate our product and service development that can strengthen Swedish and global industry through flexible automation with automated intelligent quality control, says Fredrik Bruhn, CEO of Unibap.
