Unibap AB (publ.) is continuing the rollout of SpaceCloud, providing cloud computing and cloud services in space. Simera Sense and Unibap have signed an agreement to integrate Simera Sense instruments with the SpaceCloud solution from Unibap for an earth imaging mission targeting research and applications for agriculture. The project is implemented during August 2021 to June 2022 and has a value of approximately KUSD 140.
The project will focus on integrating Simera Sense hyperspectral earth imaging products with Unibap iX5 SpaceCloud system to enable data preparation and image processing on-orbit. The integrated payload is set to be launched in June 2022 on-board a SPIRE LEMUR 6U CubeSat. The mission which will utilize the SpaceCloud OS and software framework to perform science experiments and develop precision agriculture applications. This is a unique combination of capabilities that will provide new tools for on-orbit processing.
Simera Sense is a leader in the field of optical payloads for Earth Observation satellites and is a new customer to Unibap.
